Whimsey Show Opening

We had a great opening reception for our "Whimsy" show on March 15th. It was a great turnout by the community and many people stayed and talked for long periods. We hope everyone felt welcome and enjoyed our lovely new gallery. Our April 2022 Meeting

Our next meeting will be April 25th at 6:00 pm, Potluck begins at 6:00, the meeting begins at 6:30. We have a lot to discuss so be ready for a little business, then we will have show and tell of any works in progress that you have to show. Our ArtPlay project this month will be painting a still life in the style of Picasso. It should be a lot of fun experimenting with a completely new style. If you have acrylics, please bring them. We will have some to share as well. We will also have a painting surface for everyone so don't let that keep you away.

April Meeting Review

Our April meeting featured our usual "Show and Tell" of works in progress or finished, then we moved on to our new feature, "ArtPlay" in which we tried our hands at "Still Life in the Style of Picasso. This was an interesting experiment and we had fun, though for most of us it was out of our comfort zone. Being out of one's comfort zone while doing art is a common experience and we should rejoice when it happens because it means one is stretching and growing, moving into a new place in one's art. Below are the pictures of what we accomplished in our very short time together. It was great fun.
