ART PLAY

Our next guild meeting will be Monday, July 28th at 6:00 pm in the Bradford Community Room. Potluck at 6:00, meeting begins at 6:30.

Our ArtPlay will be about "Asemic Writing, lead by Kathy Hammock." Asemic Writing is an art form first developed in the 1990's. It is the art of making marks that resemble words, yet there are no recognizable words. It is a method of expressing an artistic form that invites the viewer's participation in the interpretation of the meaning conveyed. It is completely freeform and can be used by itself or in collage, mixed media, or wherever the artist desires. Any media is perfectly fine...this art form essentially has no rules."

Participants may bring their favorite mark-maker—pencil, marker, pastel, etc. They may also bring their favorite paper if they desire. Paper and marking tools will also be provided.
